Our Beliefs
We believe the Holy Bible is the inerrant word of God given by the inspiration of God, revealing the will of God, in all things necessary to and for our lives and salvation. God's word is the final authority.
We believe that there is one triune God, self-revealed in scripture as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God being the first in the Godhead, He is eternal in existence, perfectly holy in nature and sovereign over the universe. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, for He was born of the Father, by the Holy Spirit, to the Virgin Mary. Thus uniting the Godhead and manhood into one. He performed miracles, lived a sinless life, died on the cross, was resurrected and ascended into heaven where He is now engaged in intercession for us. (John 1:1-2) (1 Tim. 3:16) We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person in the Trinity, sent by God to dwell in the life of the believer to empower, comfort, teach and lead them in the things of God. (John 15:26) (1 Peter 1:2) We believe we are reconciled to God through faith in the atoning death of Jesus Christ and His shed blood. (Romans 3:24-25) We observe the ordinance of water baptism and the Lord's Supper in obedience to our Lord's instructions. (1 Cor. 11:23-26) (Matt. 28:18-19) We believe in the resurrection of the believer and unbeliever the just to everlasting life and blessings and the unjust to everlasting punishment to the torments of hell. (1 Thess. 4:14-17). |
