was 11 years old when my parents, the late Rev. Dr. John T. Weeden, Sr.
and Gladys Mae Weeden and siblings relocated to Cleveland, Ohio. I have
been a member of St. Timothy MBC for over 70 plus years, and I've seen
so many changes happen within the church. With the arrival of our new
Pastor, Rev. Dr. Elmore Torbert, Jr. I've been truly blessed by his
sermons, the bible studies, as well as his teachings. I am happy to
receive such a pastor who is very personable, who is down to earth, and
has a great sense of humor. One who is a willing worker, has a love for
the people of God and is genuinely loved by so many. I'm excited for
what's to come in the future, and the capacity of my spiritual growth
under Reverend Torbert, many are called, but few are chosen and I thank
God that he was sent our way.

Timothy has grown over the years and I can say "so have I". I've been
blessed to be around the same village that helped to teach me and loved
me then as an adult today. St. Timothy has been my rock to fall on
because the strong, praying family members up under it, encouraged me,
cried with me, prayed for and with me and believed in me. There's just
so much love here.

Timothy Missionary Baptist Church is a vital source of spiritual
strength and maturity for me. I've been attending this church since I
remember being me. Thanks to my parents, church was mandatory. I am
forever grateful for the greatest gift anyone can give to others, the
gift of God and Jesus Christ, the Holy Trinity. I am also thankful for
the friendships and relationships that I have with the membership. Thank
God for St. Timothy and our Shepherd.
